Assaad Bouab is a French-Moroccan actor.

Assaad is best known for leading roles ‘Hicham Janowiski’ in Netflix’s hit French comedy series CALL MY AGENT, ‘Fabrice de Sauveterre’ in Emily Mortimer’s limited series THE PURSUIT OF LOVE (BBC/Amazon), ‘Pierre Beaumarchais’ in Apple TV’s limited series FRANKLIN opposite Michael Douglas, and as ‘Gabriel’ in Apple TV’s acclaimed series BAD SISTERS.

He will next star in StudioCanal’s upcoming feature film CLIFFHANGER alongside Lily James and Pierce Brosnan, directed by Jaume Collet-Serra. The film is slated for release in August 2026.

In 2023, Assaad make his stage debut in the leading role of ‘Sofiane’ at London’s National Theatre in Simon Stone’s new adaptation of PHAEDRA, opposite Janet McTeer and Mackenzie Davis. 

Further television credits include the sixth season of PEAKY BLINDERS for the BBC, Netflix’s hit limited series INVENTING ANNA, Lucie Borleteau’s crime thriller CANNABIS, Showtime’s HOMELAND alongside Claire Danes, Canal Plus’s KABOUL KITCHEN and BRAQUO, Netflix’s MESSIAH, EL GHOUL alongside Ouidad Elma and the FX drama TYRANT. 

Assaad’s major film credits include Olivier Marchal’s OVERDOSE Rachid Bouchareb’s DAYS OF GLORY and HORS LA LOI, MAROCK directed by Laila Marrakchi and Na- bil Ayouch’s WHATEVER LOLA WANTS alongside Laura Ramsey. He played a lead role in Mary Jimenez and Bénédicte Liénard’s politically-engaged film LE CHANT DES HOMMES and starred in Asif Kapadia’s star-studded drama ALI AND NINO, as well as QUEEN OF THE DESERT starring Nicole Kidman and Paula van der Oest’s THE BAY OF SILENCE.
