Harry Gilbert is a British film, television and theatre casting director. He is BAFTA’s 2024 Breakthrough Casting Director.

Harry is the casting director of the hit BAFTA-nominated comedy series G’WED for ITV and Disney+. The series is one of the most streamed comedies on ITVX platform. The second series premiered in early 2025, and went on to receive a nomination at the 2025 BAFTA Awards for ‘Best Scripted Comedy’. 

In 2024, Harry cast his first feature REAWAKENING, starring Jared Harris, Juliet Stevenson and Erin Doherty, which was released in cinemas nationwide to critical and commercial acclaim.

Further credits include the critically acclaimed short film LIONS directed by Beru Tessema, which was BIFA nominated and won the prestigious Unifrance Grand Prize at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival; and Róisín Burn’s short film WONDERWALL, which premiered as part of the La Semaine de la Critique at 2025 Cannes Film Festival.

Harry co-cast the upcoming feature TRUTH & TREASON (Kaleidoscope Pictures / Angel) with Sarah Trevis, and was casting associate on the Sky and Peacock series LOCKERBIE: A SEARCH FOR THE TRUTH starring Colin Firth released in 2025. He also served as an associate on Carnival and MGM series BELGRAVIA: THE NEXT CHAPTER, released in March 2025.

Harry first entered the world of casting in 2019 assisting Sarah Trevis, and has worked with Sarah, Jenny Duffy and Jeremy Zimmerman across a number of projects, before becoming associate to Sarah Trevis in 2022, alongside developing his own solo projects.

Harry was born and raised in East London.
