Jamie Bogyo
Jamie Bogyo is an American actor and writer.
In 2026, Jamie stars as ‘Richard Hocknell’ in Mona Fastvold’s acclaimed feature film THE TESTAMENT OF ANN LEE (Annapurna Pictures / Searchlight Pictures). The film had it’s world premiere in main competition of the 82nd Venice International Film Festival, where it was nominated for the Golden Lion. Jamie stars alongside Amanda Seyfried, Lewis Pullman, Thomasin McKenzie, Stacy Martin and Christopher Abbott.
Jamie will next be seen in Simon Stone’s highly anticipated upcoming feature film ELSINORE for Studio Canal, alongside Andrew Scott and Olivia Coleman.
For the stage, Jamie made his professional debut as the lead role of ‘Christian’ in the original West End cast of MOULIN ROUGE! THE MUSICAL. The production was nominated for 5 Laurence Olivier awards in 2022. In Spring 2025, Jamie returned to the West End as ‘Nate’ for a guest run in the smash hit musical adaptation of THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA at the Dominion Theatre, starring alongside Vanessa Williams, with music by Elton John.
Further theatre credits include starring as ‘Carl Friedrich von Weizsäcker’ in the 2023 UK premiere of Alan Brody’s award-winning play OPERATION EPSILON at Southwark Playhouse Elephant, and the lead role of ‘Alex’ in the West End revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s ASPECTS OF LOVE opposite Michael Ball, directed by Jonathan Kent. The latter of which saw Jamie hailed as “one of the most exciting talents working in musical theatre today”.
As a writer, Jamie’s debut stage play SAFE SPACE premiered at Chichester Festival Theatre in October 2025. Roy Alexander Weise directed the production, with Isabella Odoffin casting. Jamie also starred in the show as ‘Connor’.
Jamie trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art for three years, graduating in 2019.
