Morgan Watkins

Morgan Watkins is a British theatre and screen actor.

Morgan will next be seen in Claire Oakley’s upcoming thriller series UNDER SALT MARSH for Sky TV, alongside Jonathan Pryce, Rafe Spall and Harry Lawtey, and is currently underway filming the series adaptation of Liz Jensen’s THE RAPTURE produced by Mammoth Screen for BBC, both slated for release in 2026.

His major film credits include starring in Matthew Vaughn’s KINGSMAN: THE SECRET SERVICE, Ridley Scott’s NAPOLEON, Sarah Gavron’s SUFFRAGETTE, Alan Rickman’s A LITTLE CHAOS and Juan Carlos Medina’s THE LIGHTHOUSE GOLEM. He’s also had leading roles in the British independent films CHICKEN directed by Joe Stephenson, and SMALL CITY directed by Adriano Vilanova and Georgie Curran.

Morgan’s previous television credits include starring as ‘Morgan Green’ in NOUGHTS & CROSSES (BBC One), ‘Mike Steele’ in Russell T Davie’s A VERY ENGLISH SCANDAL (BBC One), and ‘Norman Pike’ in THE HOUR (BBC One). Further credits include the shows HARLOTS (Hulu/ITV), INFORMER (BBC/Amazon) and YEAR OF THE RABBIT (Channel4).

On the stage, Morgan most recently starred as ‘Tate’ in the Park Theatre’s 2025 production of HOW TO FIGHT LONELINESS by Neil LaBute, directed by Lisa Spirling. Previous theatre credits include starring as ‘Len’ in Lyric Hammersmith’s revival of Edward Bond’s SAVED directed by Sean Holmes, ‘Eben’ in Eugene O’Neil’s DESIRE UNDER THE ELMS also at Lyric, as ‘Marley’ in the Almeida Theatre’s production of THE DOOR NEVER CLOSES directed by Polly Findley, ‘Terry’ in Theatre 503’s production of THE MONKEY directed by Russell Bolam, and the National Theatre’s production of MOTHER COURAGE AND HER CHILDREN directed by Deborah Warner.

In 2023, Morgan founded theatre company The Base with Oliver Bennett, which went on to launch The Agon in 2024, a new writing competition looking for fearless new theatrical voices.

With The Base, Morgan has directed and produced staged readings of Aeschylus’s PROMETHEUS BOUND, Jean-Paul Satre’s NO EXIT, Vladimir Mayakovsky’s THE BEDBUG, and August Strindberg’s THE FATHER. In 2024, he starred in the title role of Goethe's masterpiece FAUST at St Barts Church in Smithfields, directed by Trilby James.

Morgan trained for three years at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, graduating in 2009.
